FORM Magazine, a Duke University undergraduate arts and travel publication, marks its 25th volume with a meditation on memory. Around the world, at Duke University, and at FORM Magazine, the past year of 2020-21 has been like no other.

Every semester, FORM transforms a blank slate into a body of work that is more than just a magazine. For this volume's theme, we chose to explore an epithet closely intertwined with our name, "Figure." In the creation of this magazine, we held the ideation of "Figure" loosely, revisiting it and letting it guide us as a concept inherent in every piece.

The making of FORM has always been about merging refined aesthetics with storytelling. In the past two issues we explored the concepts of belonging and identity, injecting personal stories in every story we have told. Our past work allowed us to approach Vol. XXIII with the knowledge that an important story comes from our roots.
